About Us
Welcome to the EMRS Ekalavya Model Residential School & College
Approved in the year 2012, our institution commenced academic activities in the academic year 2015-16. Situated in our very own building, our school is located at geographical coordinates 12.10-76.27, spanning across an area of 20 acres, with approval number 420.
Nestled in the picturesque locale of Sollepura, H.D. Kote Taluk, Mysore District-571114, our school, known as “Forest Zone, Home of Wildlife, Sandalwood Home,” is surrounded by rivers, wildlife sanctuaries, and hills, including the historic Heggedevana Fort. Renowned for its religious pilgrimage sites, ancient inscriptions like Dekkabbe, four reservoirs, national parks, and other scenic spots, the area welcomes all with open arms, exuding warmth and hospitality.
Located 7 km away from the taluk headquarters, our EMRS Ekaleya Madari School begins its day with the sunrise and continues academic activities uninterrupted until 11:30 pm. In addition to academic pursuits, the school focuses on physical education, guiding teachers in conducting simple exercises, sun salutations, and yoga, fostering joy and vitality in the students. This holistic approach sets our school apart.
Beyond the regular classes, students are provided dedicated time for self-study in the morning and evening under the guidance of teachers. Continuous and comprehensive evaluation ensures close monitoring of students’ progress. Effective teaching, the dedication of teachers, and the incorporation of extracurricular activities alongside the curriculum enrich the student experience.
Various student bodies such as the language association, student cabinet, cultural association, sports association, and environment association organize competitions throughout the year, contributing to the holistic development of students.
